Kindling Range Service Independent Wolf cooking appliances Call +1 (904) 867-2707

Independent · Jacksonville, FL

A dual-fuel range is two appliances
sharing one cabinet.
This city goes after them separately.

Gas on top, electric underneath, one control panel holding the two together. Kindling Range Service works on Wolf cooking appliances and nothing else, across Duval County and about 40 miles out from downtown.

  1. The gas half

    Salt air 32250 · 32233 · 32266 · 32082

Ocean-side kitchens corrode from the outside in. Burner caps pit, spark electrodes lose their gap, door hinges stiffen and the stainless starts to bloom before anything electrical has gone wrong at all.

  2. The electric half

    68 thunderstorm days a year

A convection oven under a gas cooktop is a computer with a heating element attached. Around sixty-eight storm days a year is a lot of chances for a supply transient to take the display dark while every surface burner still lights by hand.

  3. The cabinet it sits in

The opening clearance · gas diameter · dedicated circuit

A built-in inherits whatever the kitchen gives it. A range shoehorned into an opening with no side air gap runs warm for its entire service life, and the control board above the cavity is what pays for it.

Mon–Fri 8am–6pm · Sat 9am–4pm · Closed Sunday · We do not run an after-hours or emergency line.

What we fix

The appliances on the shelf

A technician leaning over a stainless range in a Jacksonville kitchen, working one burner well with the cast grates lifted off
Most calls start here: one burner behaving differently from the five beside it.
  • Dual fuel ranges

Gas on top, electric underneath, and two very different failure patterns sharing one control board.

  • All-gas ranges

One fuel from top to bottom, a gas oven burner hidden under the floor, and a set of faults you will never see on a dual fuel.

  • Gas rangetops

The drop-in gas top with no oven under it, where nearly every fault is ignition, sealing or a blocked port.

  • Induction cooktops

A power supply, a cooling fan and a sheet of glass, where most call-outs turn out to be heat management.

  • Wall ovens

Built into a cabinet with no easy way out, which is why the diagnosis has to be right the first time.

  • Convection steam ovens

The appliance with the most behind the panel — reservoir, pump, level sensor, generator, drain and seals — and any one of them can stop the steam.

  • Ventilation hoods

The appliance nobody thinks about until the kitchen fills with smoke, and the one most often undersized for the top it sits over.

Everything we work on

Where we work

A 1920s kitchen and a 2015 kitchen are different service calls

  • Deerwood

Kitchens built with high-end appliances from the start, which means the first generation of built-ins is now old enough to be failing in predictable ways.

    32256

  • San Marco

A 1920s floor plan, an exterior nobody can cut into casually, and a low riverfront street — three constraints stacked on one appliance.

    32207 · historic kitchens

  • Mandarin

A deep tree canopy over the power lines, long duct runs on large lots, and two entirely different generations of kitchen inside one ZIP.

    32223 · historic kitchens

  • Riverside & Avondale

One of the largest historic residential districts in the Southeast, and the hardest kitchens in the city to put a modern range into.

    32205 · historic kitchens

  • Ortega

One of the oldest residential areas in the city, where what is behind the cabinetry is a layered record of several decades of work rather than one clean job.

Owner reports

What owners said afterwards

4.2 out of 5 from 52 published reports. Each one is a single visit, in the words of the person who paid for it.

  • Steam stopped partway through a roast and the tank light stayed on even after I topped it up. He traced it to the level sensor rather than the pump, cleaned the probe and refilled, and the cycle finished properly.

    Marisol P.

  • The blower had turned into a roar and was moving almost no air. The wheel was caked hard with grease and one balance clip had gone missing. He cleaned it, fitted a new clip, and the noise dropped right back down.

    Perry O.

  • After a storm took the power out, the oven half was dead while the gas top still lit. The control board had taken the hit. He confirmed that with a meter before ordering anything, which I valued more than a guess.

Asked often

Before you call

Are you sent by the manufacturer?
No. Kindling Range Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Wolf or its parent company. We name the brand because it is the only brand we work on, and because you need to know your appliance is the kind we carry parts and test equipment for.
Do you work on other brands?
No. One manufacturer, one set of service manuals, one parts shelf. A technician who works on everything owns a little knowledge about a lot of machines. We would rather know one line of cooking appliances properly, including the older units that have been in a kitchen for fifteen years.
When can you come out?
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and Saturday 9am to 4pm. We are closed Sunday and we do not run an after-hours or emergency line. Booking a real window and turning up inside it beats promising a midnight call-out we would not want to make.
What certifications do your technicians hold?
EPA Section 608 certification, which is the federal credential required to handle refrigerant on sealed systems. It is held by the technician, not granted by any appliance manufacturer. We are also licensed and insured in the State of Florida.
What should I do before the technician arrives?
Clear the front of the appliance and make sure we can get to the shut-off — the gas valve behind or below the range, the breaker for the oven circuit. If the unit is built in, note whether it has ever been pulled out before. And write down when the fault started and what happened first: a storm, an outage, a self-clean cycle. That sequence is often half the diagnosis.
